Detailed Product Description

A vehicle collided with a big-rig towing a prefabricated house, knocking the house off its trailer and causing a two-hour closure of an Interstate 880 off-ramp in Milpitas on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported about 12:20 p.m. on the off-ramp from southbound I-880 to westbound state Highway 237.

The collision left the house on its side in the roadway, CHP Officer Jeff Serena said.

No injuries were reported.

Traffic was briefly detoured from I-880 to Highway 237 through side streets around the off-ramp, Serena said.

A Sig-alert was issued about 1 p.m. and canceled at 2:04 p.m.
